As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, last Thursday evening was the private view for the exhibition of cycle jerseys designed as part of a competition run by Milltag and UAL. We had a pretty good turn out (the lure of free beer and giant pretzels certainly didn’t hurt the cause) and it was great to finally see all the designs on jerseys. The winning design by Radek Husak features a pattern based on tube lines, denoted by their different colours, because when you cycle in London your route is crossing tube lines under the ground. The genius of the design lines in the fact that the colours and the pattern can be customised to reflect the route the cyclist follow. I believe the jersey designs will go live on the Milltag website in the very near future and I will be posting pictures of my poster prints and jersey being expertly modelled as soon as it stops raining for long enough for me to take some photos. In the meantime these are images of the exhibition in the cavernous new home of Central St Martins.
