Yesterday, whilst researching colour trends I came across this article written by Paula Cocozza on the Guardian website in May last year. It elaborates on the article I found in the Metro paper last year. It highlights the how far the implication of certain colour terms can go. While, as some of the comments point out, it’s not a matter of life or death, it is a matter of black and white. The colour that nude has come to denote emphasises just how white and westernised the fashion industry still is.
This is also touched on in the colours column in Cabinet magazine, about the colour brown, which can be seen here.
